Klasse, as Germans called it, or A-Class, as the English called it, is completely new this time. Gone are family-oriented design, the interior which does not bother, it doesn’t be surprised by anything, and the car has specific ride vans. Welcome, sportsmanship! We tested the first, new A-Class car in Slovenia, and these are the first impressions. New in the premium compact segment it has all the ingredients of a successful machine. Design represents a challenging for Mercedes, it has a chassis, which can be ordered after your taste, but mostly has a ride and an interior, which is especially designed for dynamism. Something absolutely new for the Germans!
We tested two versions of top, but in three different trim: an A200 CDI Sport chassis, an A250 and an A250 chassis Comfort chassis Sport, which includes an AMG package. The latter was subjected to torture on a circuit, which was arranged at the airport in Portoroz, whatever you have tested and found collision avoidance system as standard equipment on all levels (Collision Prevention ASSIST Germans shouting at us).
In conclusion, the new Class has done exceptionally well in any of these engines, but if you chose the chassis Comfort, will be soothed your sports enthusiasm in curves, instead you get a very comfortable journey. Conversely, if you opt for the Sport chassis, the car will be like the rail in the curves, but you feel about any bump in the road, because of the firmness of the suspension and 18-inch wheels. So, there are large differences in behavior between the two equipped.
