

The 2011 Mercedes-Benz B55 is a concept car which was specially developed at the Rastatt plant. It has been powered by a 5.5-litre petrol V8 engine that is capable of producing about 383 bhp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 391 lb-ft at 2800 rpm along with a 7-speed automatic transmission. The car is able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 5.2 seconds along with a limited top speed of around 155 mph. The exhaust system is available with various replacement part items which took the form of a twin-pipe system that emerges at the centre of the rear end. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz B55 also features dark-painted radiator louvres, smoked headlamp lenses, B-Class offers an imposing figure which gives a discreet indication of powerpack located below the bonnet. It also has internally ventilated disc brakes at the front and rear, 18 inch AMG sports wheels in a 5-spoke design shod along with tyres. When the ignition key is turned, all the heads in the vicinity will be able to swivel simultaneously in the direction of the B-Class. The 2011 Mercedes-Benz B55 interior has been upgraded in line with the new vehicle class and the exterior had undergone minor indications of the conversion work. The car also weighs about 1620 kg which is 180 kg more when compared to the standard model. This model is just been introduced as a concept and the company has no plans to produce this version.
