

The 2001 Toyota Brevis is a mid-sized luxury sedan which is based on the same rear-drive platform as Lexus IS and it was available only in Japan. The car was introduced with two engine options such as a 2.5 liter engine that was able to generate about 200 hp and 3.0 liter straight-six engine producing about 220 hp along with VVT-i and D-4 direct injection. It also featured either 5-speed automatic transmission or a 4-speed automatic transmission. This model had few styling cues of the Lexus LS 430 and it was produced till the year 2007 before being discontinued by the company. The 2001 Toyota Brevis was aimed to attract the younger customers and it was expected to compete directly with other similar models. In the interior there is a glass green lighting for speedometer and clock which gave a luxurious feeling. The car is available with a stylish center console which features a LCD monitor and alloy-effect sound system along with a DVD and MD playback, on-dash CD changer and 7 speakers on the higher models. The 2001 Toyota Brevis had a wheelbase of 2,780 mm, weight of 3,417 lb and it also had double-wishbones suspensions which were set much softer when compared to the Lexus. This model also has vehicle stability control system, high intensity discharge head lamps and ABS. Other feature include power adjustable pedal, an electric rear sunshade, radar guided cruise control system and a adjustable steering wheel.
