

The 2009 Volvo C30 DRIVe is a new economical new diesel model which is based on the C30 Efficiency concept car that was introduced at the Frankfurt motor show. The fuel consumption has been reduced below the 120 g/km CO2 emission level which is expected to reduce the net contribution to the global warming. The car is available with a maintenance-free particle filter which is able to trap about 95 percent of all soot particles. This model has been certified as per the mandatory European NEDC standard and it has also excelled in the ECO test. The 2009 Volvo C30 DRIVe chassis height has been reduced by 10 mm and the front spoiler is same as on the T5 model. The car also features gearbox with altered ratios, more efficient driveline, covered radiator grille, wind deflectors in front of the front wheels, aerodynamically optimised wheels, underbody panels for more efficient airflow, unique rear spoiler and a new rear bumper. It will be available with 15 inch or 16 inch wheels and a new generation of Michelin tyres along with low rolling resistance. The 2009 Volvo C30 DRIVe has been specially developed for families and other customers looking for additional space to make an active pro-environmental choice. The car is available with a special set of efficiency-enhancing features and it has been marked with the DRIVe emblem to signal the updated environmental properties. The company had planned to introduce this model throughout Europe.
