

The 2012 Chevrolet Volt MPV5 is a new 5-passenger crossover wagon that was first introduced at the Beijing Motor Show. It features a 1.4 liter 4-cylinder gasoline engine that is able to generate about 149 hp and 273 pound-feet of torque. The vehicle also has an electric motor along with 16 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which has a 32-mile electric range when compared to 40 miles in the standard model. This model is available with full-underbody belly pan along with rocker claddings, specially designed blades on the rear quarter and creased tail lamps. The exterior has been painted in Sonic Blue Metallic paint for a contemporary appeal along with dual skylight panels and 19 inch Volt-inspired wheels. The 2012 Chevrolet Volt MPV5 has a wheelbase of 2,760 mm, length of 4,585 mm, width of 1,871 mm and a height of 1,612 mm. The interior features include center stack, gauge cluster along with a striking two-tone leather seats. The seating position also provides maximum comfort and flexibility which includes improved entry and egress. The 2012 Chevrolet Volt MPV5 is available with Voltec propulsion system which helps to achieve full vehicle speed and acceleration up to 51.5 km on pure electric propulsion with five occupants. The second row of the vehicle can be folded for 1,764.1 liters of cargo space and 863.7 liters of space is available behind the second row. The vehicle has been developed with improved aerodynamics which enables greater all-electric range.
