

The Daihatsu HVS is an open-top two-seater lightweight sports car that was unveiled at the 2005 Frankfurt Motor Show as a concept. It has been powered by a 1.5 litre petrol engine along with DVVT that is able to generate about 103 bhp at 6000 rpm and a torque of 103 ft-lbs at 4400 rpm. The car also features McPherson struts, coil springs at the front suspension and torsion beams at the rear suspension. This model has a continuous variable transmission along with a front wheel drive and the 0-400 m acceleration is possible in just 17 seconds. The Daihatsu HVS has a length of 3715 mm, width of 1695 mm, height of 1235 mm and a wheelbase of 2235 mm. The power unit is an advanced hybrid system which includes two motors in the front and an additional motor in the rear. Because of its lightweight compact body, the car boasts a fuel consumption of just 4.2 liters/100 km and CO2 emissions of just 101 g/km. The engine can just run on premium petrol with the help of a special design muffler. The Daihatsu HVS interior has been designed to give a joyful driving for both driver and passengers. The exterior design extends from the instrument panel to the trims which give a comfortably exciting atmosphere for the passengers. It also has an advanced styling that gives a sense of strong presence and a joy of owning a lightweight sports car.
