

The 2013 McLaren 12C Can-Am is a special edition racing car that has been introduced as a concept model. This model was introduced at the Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance in California. The car has been powered by a 3.8 liter twin-turbo V8 engine that is able to generate about 630 hp along with an optimized cooling system. It also features a highly efficient braking system developed by Akebono and it has been placed behind a new set of black satin-finished forged lightweight racing alloy wheels along with a Pirelli racing slick tires. The 2013 McLaren 12C Can-Am is available with a bare bones interior and the cockpit has two black racing seats along with full six-point harnesses. The steering wheel is based on the Lewis Hamilton’s MP4-24 F1 car which is also used in the 12C GT3. The interior cabin also has carbon fiber details throughout which include sill panels and dashboard. The exterior has been designed McLaren Orange paint scheme which is a testament of Bruce McLaren and Denny Hulme for the cars. The 2013 McLaren 12C Can-Am exterior also looks dramatic and it also features a comprehensive aerodynamic body kit with number of components such as a carbon fiber front splitter, carbon fiber wing and carbon fiber dive planes. The carbon fiber MonoCell has been used to build McLaren badges at the front and rear of the car. The downforce of the car has been increased by about 30% with all the new features.
