The Honda KIWAMI is a concept vehicle that was introduced at the Tokyo Motor Show in the year 2003. The vehicle has been specially developed to feature a clean hybrid fuel-cell technology along with large luxury-car comforts. It has a low-profile two-box wedge design along with an interior which is made to evoke the feeling of a contemplating Japanese garden. The limbo-low roofline of the vehicle looks as though it is a full-size Yank. This model has a short nose that has been designed to highlight the progress which the company has made in downsizing the fuel-cell stack. The Honda KIWAMI fuel-cell hardware has been placed below the floor and it is also downsized. The batteries of the vehicle have been replaced with an ultra-capacitor and it presumes an advanced low-profile hydrogen storage system which is yet to be perfected. The aesthetic sensibility and values of Japan have been expressed in this unique model with strong and minimalist stance. Some of the most intelligent technologies are concealed within to ensure a quiet, safe, pleasant ride. The Honda KIWAMI has a length of 4500 mm, width of 1820 mm and height of 1250 mm. The vehicle is available with an advanced packaging technology that provides a roomy interior even though it has a low overall height. The interior also looks very luxurious along with a relaxing atmosphere. This model has not been put into production, but it may enter the market in the near future.
