The Range Rover Evoque LRX is a concept vehicle that was specially developed as a smaller and more environmentally conscious vehicle. It is available as a five-door version and based on the Land Rover Freelander design. The vehicle has been powered with two turbocharged engines such as a 2.0 liter gasoline engine that is able to produce 237 hp and 2.2 liter diesel engine which generates 158 hp along with a 6-speed manual or automatic transmission. The size of this model has been complemented with a wide array of efficiency improving technologies. The Range Rover Evoque LRX is available with e_Terrain technologies that includes biofuel compatibility along with lightweight construction materials and removable carbon composite roof panels, stop-start system, regenerative brakes and ERAD or electric rear axle drive parallel hybrid powertrain system. The ERAD system helps the vehicle to increase its speeds upto 20 mph before the engine gets started with an integrated starter generator. The ERAD has been specially developed to reduce the CO2 emissions by about twenty percent with the NEDC test cycle. The Range Rover Evoque LRX was expected to achieve 120 g/km CO2 emissions along with a fuel economy of about 60 mpg. The interior has been designed with ambient interior lighting which can be changed as per the Terrain Response settings. It also has floating three-dimensional LCD display, an aluminum centre console along with an iPhone docking station separating the four seats as well as the tailgate.
