

The 2005 Cadillac STS SAE 100 is a special edition car that was produced to celebrate the SAE’s 100th anniversary. This model is expected to be the most technologically integrated vehicle produced by the company. It has been powered by a 6 liter LS2 V8 engine that is capable of producing about 505 at 5600 rpm and a torque of 520 lb-ft at 3600 rpm along with a 6-speed transmission. The transmission is available with Driver Shift Control that gives the driver ability to shift gears sequentially along with a tap up or tap down mechanism. The 2005 Cadillac STS SAE 100 also features a 3-D navigation system that provides a bird’s-eye-view of the surroundings. It also has an oil condition sensor that is expected to determine and detect actual level as well as remaining engine oil life. The interior is available with rear-view mirror along with embedded organic LED screen that gives clear images of the rear seat through rear seat camera and it also improves the visibility behind the vehicle. The 2005 Cadillac STS SAE 100 has a rear seat entertainment system which features two 6.5 inch headrest-mounted LCD screens, two Microsoft Xboxes along with DVD packages and wireless infrared headphones. The capless fuel system can be used by pushing an interior button to electronically open the fuel pipe and closes when the cap is removed. Other features include adaptive cruise control, reconfigurable color head-up display, rear vision camera and side blind zone alert.
