The t configuration was previously used by Formula One cars during the 1980s and it was standard for other mid-engined V8 car that was introduced later in the year. This model represented the most substantial upgrade in this models lineup in performance and handling. It was able to provide greater performance with a mid-engined layout and practical packaging layout. There were standard ABS and two usable rear seats in the interior. The Ferrari Mondial t weighed less than its previous models which made it look very different than other models. The most design was of the air intakes to a smaller, the door-handles were visually different along with body colored bumpers. The chassis was able to underpin a new generation of cars from the company right up to the 360.
