

The 2005 Jeep Gladiator is a concept model that was first introduced at the Chicago Auto Show. The vehicle has been powered by a new and efficient 2.8 liter, 4-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine that is capable of producing about 163 hp and a torque of 295 lb-ft along with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a traditional part time transfer case. It is available with an open-air canvas roof, expandable truck bed, fold-down windshield and removable doors. This model is an authentic statement of the Jeep brand heritage and it is thoroughly a modern pickup vehicle with an active lifestyle. The 2005 Jeep Gladiator has been introduced with a driver-side cabin-storage access panel and a lockable storage panel located in front of the rear wheel. It also features 4-foot-wide bed space that can be expanded with storage and it can also extend inside the cabin for more length. The bed is transformed to increase its length from 1,725 mm to 2,026 mm. Both front and rear suspensions have multi-link designs for a smooth ride along with plenty of suspension travel that is suitable for off road drive. The 2005 Jeep Gladiator has a ground clearance of 348 mm, break-over angle of 23.2 degrees, approach angle of 47.6 degrees and departure angle of 38.0 degrees. The interior has been specially developed with weatherproof seats, GPS, communications system, navigation system and it also has color palate that features Armour Green along with Dark Slate Gray accents.
