The 2005 Jeep Gladiator is a concept model that was first introduced at the Chicago Auto Show. The vehicle has been powered by a new and efficient 2.8 liter, 4-cylinder common-rail turbo diesel engine that is capable of producing about 163 hp and a torque of 295 lb-ft along with a 6-speed manual transmission as well as a traditional part time transfer case. It is available with an open-air canvas roof, expandable truck bed, fold-down windshield and removable doors.
