The four-cylinder BMW X1 xDrive28i engine and turbine develop 254 hp at 5,000 rpm and reach the maximum torque of 350 Nm engine and just 1250 rpm. Despite the token, this engine has a displacement of 1997 cc. The sign has been preserved through the power. This engine replaces the old engine aspirated three-liter six-cylinder and it makes with a great success. We lead this initial international model launch in Slovenia and we were impressed.
Because we talk about a car with about 245 hp consumption and it will never be low especially in the urban uses. Manufacturer announces the following figures: 10.4 l/100 km (urban), 6.4 l/100 km (highway) and 7.9 (average). In real life things are a little different. For several days, BMW X1 which we tested was used most in town and made the trip computer consumption stood at around 14 l/100 km. By the time I pulled it at long way, the average consumption became 9, 9.5 liters per 100 km. The figures are good for the level of performance offered by this engine. Regarding competition, we can just look at the official figures.
Our BMW test shows that this model came equipped with the M Sports Package. It changes the appearance making it more aggressive but spoils its owner and an interior to match. This package costs 3647 euros (VAT included) and contains among others the sports seats for the driver and front passenger, aluminum interior trim, M leather steering wheel, BMW Individual Shadow Line trim, ceiling trim and door sills with the inscription M. This makes the X1′s interior very comfortable.
