The Seat Altea Prototipo is a concept car that was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show in the year 2003. It is available with a 2.0 liter FSI engine that is capable of producing about 150 bhp at 6,000 rpm along with a 6-speed automatic and sequential Tiptronic gearbox. This model has been designed by Walter de’Silva and it is expected to be a Multi Sport Vehicle class denomination for a sporty single volume people car. The car features a new SEAT’s design direction trend that shows the SEAT auto emocion philosophy that was previously seen in the Seat Salsa concept model. The Seat Altea Prototipo has been introduced with a wheelbase of 2570 mm, length of 4292 mm, width of 1812 mm and a height of 1552 mm. The front end of the car has a large radiator grille which displays the brand badge and it has been highlighted by the headlamps that look like a cat’s eye. The side view has a dynamic line which flows downward on the doors and joins the rear wheel arches. The Seat Altea Prototipo has a seating capacity for four passengers with a 2+2 seating configuration. It also features a compact, lowered 5-door chassis, large 19 inch rims along with low profile tyres and powerful brake system. Other features include ABS, electronic stability program, efficient agile chassis or dynamic steering response as well as special suspension settings and fittings along with an electronic programme.
