The Fiat Oltre is a concept vehicle that was introduced at the Bologna Motor Show in the year 2005. This model is based on the Iveco LMV or Light Multirole Vehicle which is a new military off-road vehicle that features cutting edge technical features. It is available with a 3 liter, 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing about 185 bhp at 3700 rpm and a torque of 456 Nm at 1800 rpm. The vehicle also features a 6-speed automatic transmission and it is able to reach a top speed of around 130 km/h. The Fiat Oltre was introduced with a wheelbase of 3,230 mm, length of 4,870 mm and a width of 2,200 mm. This model had won the FCLV or Future Command and Liaison Vehicle contract for the British Army and it is being chosen by the Italian Army. The vehicle has exuberant styling that has been designed around a silhouette along with straight wheelarches which cuts across the uncluttered sides. The door handles are recessed deliberately to avoid any obstacle when driving off-road. The Fiat Oltre is a long cab with an open platform that is perfectly balanced to provide a feeling of dominating the terrain from interior and look of a pure expedition Pick-up. There is an adjustable sunshade on top of the windscreen that is expected to increase the dynamism of the roof and it looks very similar to the vehicles that are used for desert crossings.
