The Lotus Purist is a special edition car that was introduced in the year 2009 with a price tag of around $43,955 which is very less when compared to the standard model. The car is available with a 1.8 liter 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing about 190 hp along with a 6-speed manual transmission. It also has a multipoint fuel injection system along with an electronic ignition and throttle control. This model was specially developed get it closer to the MSRP that was available during the introduction in the U.S. market in 2005. The Lotus Purist exterior features include LED taillights with integral reflectors, a removable soft top along with a stowage bag. The car is available with three exterior colors such as Monaco White, Ardent Red and Saffron Yellow. The interior has been designed with black leather seats, air conditioning, starter button, a Momo leather-covered steering wheel, power doors locks and a four-speaker stereo along with in-dash CD player. It also has an alarm with engine immobilizer and tire-pressure monitoring system.
