The 2012 Morgan Plus E is a new electric sports car that was introduced at the Geneva Motor Show as a concept model. It has been powered by a new derivative of Zytek’s engine that is capable of producing about 94 bhp and a torque of 221 lb-ft along with a 5-speed manual transmission. The car is based on a tailored version of a lightweight aluminum platform chassis by the company clothed in the revised traditional body. This model has a multi-speed transmission that allows the motor to use more time in operating and it also uses energy more efficiently at high road speeds in particular. The 2012 Morgan Plus E is available with Morgan’s traditional look along with high-technology construction as well as a powertrain which is able to provide substantial torque at any speed. The manual transmission is expected to increase both touring range and driver involvement making it a fantastic car to drive. There is a clutch pedal available as an option as the motor is expected to offer a torque from zero speed. The 2012 Morgan Plus E has a very old body style and a new electric motor that is first seen only in this model. The multi-speed transmission helps to provide lower gearing during rapid acceleration and it will also make this model more engaging for the drivers. The car would be put into production only if there is sufficient demand for it in the market.
