The Subaru Alcyone SVX is a two-door grand tourer coupe that was first introduced at the Tokyo Auto Show and it was available from the year 1991 to 1996. It has been powered by a 3.3 liter EG33 F6 engine that is able to generate about 230 hp at 5,400 rpm and a torque of 228 ft-lb at 4,400 rpm along with a 4-speed 4EAT automatic transmission. The car was introduced with all-wheel and front-wheel drive option. This model was capable of reaching from 0-60 mph in about 7.3 seconds along with an estimated top speed of around 154 mph. The Subaru Alcyone SVX was available with wheelbase of 2,610 mm, length of 4,625 mm, width of 1,770 mm, height of 1,310 mm and it had a weight of about 3,500 lb. The body of the car was curvy with almost futuristic lines that was developed by Giorgetto Giugiaro of ItalDesign and it also has 2-piece side windows. The windows were divided about 2/3 of the way from bottom which were usually seen on the vehicles with gull-wing or scissor doors. The Subaru Alcyone SVX was also part of the motorsports which won the Alcan Winter Rally while the car was driven by Ken Knight and Bob Dart. About 3,859 units were sold in US alone, but the company had planned to sell about 10,000 units each year and the sales dropped significantly.
