

The Ford R7 is a sport utility vehicle that was first introduced at the Melbourne International Motorshow in the year 2002 as a concept model. It was available with a 4.0 liter, I6 engine that is capable of producing about 244 hp and a torque of 380 Nm. This model is based on the EA169 platform of Ford BA Falcon and the production was also available all across the world including Australia. The vehicle is a completely a different model when compared to the vehicle previously produced in the country. The Ford R7 was introduced with a wheelbase of 2,842 mm, length of 4,856 mm, width of 1,898 mm, height of 1,714 mm and it had a weight of around 4,440 lb. The exterior design reflects its true nature along with the surface language which offers a contemporary, clear and positive surface. The crisp detailing in the vehicle produces a feeling of athleticism matched along with precise and well-crafted solidity. This model features a strong front-end Ford DNA signature that was expected to be very important for the design team. The Ford R7 was available with Blood Orange color on the exterior which was selected particularly to continue the dynamic image of the vehicle. It features a high intensity Xenon discharge lamp technology, LED turn signals, split rear tailgate for easy access, hidden reverse sensors, turned machine alloy exhaust and tail lamps reflecting the front lamp detailing along with LED turn signals.
