

The 1989 Pontiac Stinger is a concept model that was classified as a all seasons vehicle along with an active suspension system for all terrain driving. It was introduced with a 3.0 liter, 4-cylinder 16-valve engine that is able to generate about 170 hp at 6500 along with a 3-speed automatic transmission. The vehicle also had independent suspension anti-lock disc brakes and pneumatic active suspension system that allows it to rise four inches higher for off road driving. The body has been made up of carbon fiber panels and glass panels are removable, except for the windshield. The 1989 Pontiac Stinger had a wheelbase of 98 inches, length of 164.8 inches, width of 73.7 inches and a height of 58.8 inches. The interior was available with an Instrument panel that featured electric tilt wheel and steering column, manual tilt gauges for driver comfort, an attitude gyro depicting vehicle tilt, an electric compass and pull-out drawer with a removable cellular phone. It also had a front-loaded compact disc player and radio controls on the console. The 1989 Pontiac Stinger features a six-way power seating along with memory and inflatable bladder system for front seat passengers. All seats can be folded flat for storage space and the built in utility seat can be removed for camping chair in the front passenger seat. It also has keyless entry system, pull-out radio, a portable hand held vacuum, camper stove, picnic table, electrical extension cord, two small tote bags and more.
