The Aston Martin Twenty Twenty is a concept car that was first introduced in the year 2001 which was designed by Giorgetto and Fabrizio Giugiaro. This model was unveiled at the Geneva Salon L’Auto and it is said to be based on the production version of DB7 Vantage. It is available with a 6.0 liter V12 engine that is capable of producing about 500 bhp at 6000 rpm along with a rear wheel drive option. The rear of the car starting from the doors back is much more appealing than the other parts with more conservative use of bare aluminum. The main design brief of this model is to create a high-performance luxury roadster on an aluminum space frame and leaving the frame elements visible. The Aston Martin Twenty Twenty has a wheelbase of 2591 mm, length of 4455 mm, width of 1900 mm and a height of 1300 mm. The brushed aluminum highlighting lines on the car is an original design feature that was created especially for this model. The overuse of this design especially around the front gives an unusual and comical appearance from some angles. The cabin is available with naturally finished alloy and it looks like metal which is covered in butterscotch-colored Italian leather. The Aston Martin Twenty Twenty has a little wind noise even at high speeds and it has a James Bond theme on the CD player. The car was just a visual representation of the Spider model in the year 2020.

2012 Aston Martin Dragon 88

The 2012 Aston Martin Dragon 88 is a limited edition car that was unveiled at the Beijing Auto Show. It is a specially designed model which has been developed to demonstrate the personalization possibilities for the Aston Martin customer. The car will be limited to 88 units to provide maximum exclusivity to its customers. This model is expected to feature a 7.3 liter naturally aspirated V12 engine along with a design that is inspired by the Ming dynasty. A 24-carat gold will be applied to the badges of the car. The 2012 Aston Martin Dragon 88 will also have gold embroidery on the headrests, commemorative plates on the door sills and special gold interior trim highlights. The exterior will be available in three special paint colors such as the Amethyst Red, Volcano Red and Champagne Gold. The car will also be available with Ming Blue Paint, Falcon Grey and Metallic Bronze leather, Walnut wooden boot and door inserts and Ming inspired seat embroidery. The special edition car will be available in different models such as V8 Vantage S, Virage and DBS. All the model will be available with a unique interior finish such as Spicy Red, Deep Purple, and Red Chancellor. The 2012 Aston Martin Dragon 88 is available with special badging with dragon logo, new set of alloy wheels including ten-spoke design along with silver finish and black brake calipers. The company will produce this model especially for the Chinese market.

1965 Aston Martin DB5 Convertible

The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible was introduced from 1965 to 1966 where around 123 units were produced. It was available with a 3995 cc, Inline-6 engine that was able to generate 282 bhp at 5500 rpm and 280 ft-lbs at 4500 rpm along with a 5-speed manual transmission. It was capable of reaching from 0-60 mph in about 7.5 seconds along with a top speed of around 142 mph. About 37 units were produced with a short chassis during its production period and 12 units had been fitted with a factory Vantage engine. This is also the first model in the series to feature the Volante name. The front suspension was available with A-Arms along with coil springs, anti-roll bar and the rear suspension had live axle along with watts link, trailing links, coil springs. The car was offered with a steel hard top along with an exceptionally large rear window. The Aston Martin DB5 Convertible was available with rack and pinion steering, rear wheel drive and also had reclining seats, electric windows, chrome wire wheels, wool pile carpets, twin fuel tanks, full leather trim in the cabin, fire extinguisher, three SU carburetors and magnesium-alloy body. The 1968 Aston Martin DB6 Volante is the first model from the company to feature Volante name which means flying in Italian. The 2011 Aston Martin V8 Vantage N420 is a coupe version which is available as a special addition. Aston Martin is preparing a doped version of the smallest British family coupe. With a racing pedigree, the model promises to be a must have for fans of Aston Martin in search of sensations while driving.

The main difference between the V12 Vantage RS and V8 Vantage comes under the hood. Instead of the traditional V8, the British engineers planted a V12, grafted on the DB RS9 racer. The power on the output, for the engine used to the atmosphere paddock sites, is about 600 horsepower.

The 2012 Aston Martin Vantage GT3 is a racing model which is said to be the successor of Aston Martin DBRS9. Aston Martin DB-ONE Concept

What happens when a Spanish designer takes DNA from Aston Martin and instead of it prints a dynamic and futuristic look?

This is not an article where we complain about the current approach of those from Aston Martin at the design chapter. Instead of this, if tomorrow we win at the lottery, an Aston Martin V8 Vantage would be the first thing that we are all going to buy. So, we can say that we quietly accustomed to the “corporate” style of these cars, but it will pass some time until we will get used to a new face, as the one from the current design.

In the pictures above, you can admire the superb DB-ONE concept, created by the Spanish designer Ruben Vela. He just finished a master in automotive at the design department of the Polytechnic University of Valencia. Vela believes that the most important element of design is dynamic, with a subtle tension between the areas and lines that gave the car the “power”, even when they are only on paper. He believes that the car is not a static object and therefore it should inspire dynamism from any angle, even when it is stationary and this goes especially for the sports car.

The Spanish took elements from Aston Martin like the grille, the long hood and the sides specific to the car and integrated them in a very futuristic concept, with curved lines and bright wheels, so that the model is presumably designed especially for the U.S. market.

Aston Martin DBS UB-2010

The Aston Martin DBS UB-2010 is a special edition car that was first introduced at the Geneva Motor Show in the year 2010. It was specially developed to honor the company’s chief executive Dr Ulrich Bez’s 10th year. The car was limited to only 40 units which includes 20 Coupes and 20 Volantes. It was specified personally by the chief executive of the company. The Aston Martin DBS UB-2010 was available with a unique Azurite Black paint finish on the exterior. The interior was developed with metallic bronze leather along with woven leather seat inserts and a Cryptic Titan facia finish. All the model features UB-2010 sill plaques that were specially signed by Dr Ulrich Bez along with a final inspection plate that also have been by the signed-off by the chief executive personally. The car is also a part of the Aston’s Works Service program that has been particularly employed by the customers desiring personalization. The had a wheelbase of 2740 mm, length of 4721 mm, width of 1905 mm, height of 1280 mm and it also weighs about 2155 kg. This model was capable of reaching from 0-60 mph in about 4.3 seconds along with a top speed of around 191 mph. The Aston Martin DBS UB-2010 also has 20 inch ten spoke diamond turned wheels along with azurite black painted finish, 2+2 Seating Configuration, woven leather seat inserts, alcantara steering wheel and front seat headrests along with Dr Ulrich Bez signature.
