Cadillac’s quest to expand outside North America and a few eastern markets didn’t die with the Allante. Once again it tried to conceive a car that would attract the professional classes of the USA’s eastern and western seaboards, which are son keen on ‘imports’ as well translate overseas. Cadillac also went to the trouble of producing a right hand drive conversion, potentially opening up the key UK, Japanese and South African markets. The STS was considerably shorter around 8 in (20 cm) then the US market car from which it was derived. Reducing the size of the Cadillac was necessary for the crowded driving conditions of Europe. The STS’s styling was also Euro slick than any American car before it. A desire to match Lexus extended inside for the most un American interior design, again aimed at those tempted by the Lexus. In truth the Cadillac looked good enough inside and out to be the most serious US road car attempt on the world market yet. Its North Star V8 was a world class powerplant. Alone in this class as a front wheel drive vehicle, the STS must have been one of the most powerful front wheel drive ever sold.

There was evidence that the STS lacked the honing required for high speed European motoring body control, stability at motorway speeds and quality of plastics, but its standard specification was so extensive that the STS was seen as a bargain, even at the price. General Motor’ need to see the Cadillac brand globalized was made even clearer by the creation of a satellite styling studio in Britain’s automotive heart land, the West Midlands.

The Seville was Cadillac’s answer to the similar, more efficient European luxury cars of the mid 1970s that were eating significantly into its market. In the midst of a fuel crisis, it signaled a move away from the dinosaurs of the past. The Seville was notably shorter than any of its predecessors, and was styled with a deliberate restraint that gave it almost European flavor. Although hardly nimble, the Seville was far less ungainly than the full size models, and with its down sized 5.7 liter V8 engine (an Oldsmobile unit) it could manage a respectable 15 mpg (19 liters/ 100 km) and 115 mph (184 km/h). Later, there was even a diesel version, the first oil burning Cadillac ever, but there were few other technical innovations. However, the Seville drivers did not feel that they were being short changed. The interior featured at the power operation for the seats and windows found on larger Cadillacs, plus a trip commuter for calculating fuel consumption. Leather or cloth offered a lot for a car of its size. It had a power of 170 bhp with Monocoque chassis along with the Disc/ drum brakes. Fully three speed automatic transmission, with independent front live axle rear.

The model proved a huge success, and set the agenda for a whole raft, smaller Cadillacs in the 1980s. the Seville itself became the bizarre Elegente in 1979, and found itself with a razor edged bustle back styling reminiscent of a post war Daimler or Rolls Royce. The Seville name still survives today, on a new generation of front wheel drive Cadillacs.

BMW has m-cars merc its AMGs, Audi its RS variants – and now the Americans want in on the act. Welcome Cadillac and its V cars: the fastest, sportiest and priciest products in the line-up. For 2009 comes the CTS-V-Cadillac’s M5. It’s already clocked a 7min 59.32sec production saloon record at the ring- with the selector in D.  It feels like a for door corvette. Not surprisingly, it shares the base LS9 engine with the ‘Vette, the supercharged 6.2litre V8 developing 564bhp at 6100rpm and 551lb ft at 3800rpm. The massive torque is either relayed to tremec six speeds manual or GM’S six speed hydrometric, in which it’s rev-limited for gear box preservation. In the past, Cadillac’s were an acquired taste –too big. Too much bling, too little interest in corners- and Cadillac would sooner lower the price then raising the bar. But the V’s bucket seats are by recaro, the elaborate leatherwork stitched by Germany’s Draxlmaier of bugatti, rolls and maybach fame. This is no go faster Buick or Chevy dressed in funky clothes.  Cadillac’ crisper styling and increasingly competitive dynamics are broadening its appeal and its most compelling driver’s car by a long shot is the cts especially in v spec. The caddy is quantifiably quicker off the mark and substantially fast overall than m5 or e63 amg.

If you’re brave, third gear slides are an option. The steering is still a touch too light and not quite direct enough for non us tastes. , but it works well for the forgiving chassis.In the state the cts-v costs closer to bmw m3 than m5 and should we expect a price in UK. It’s not so finely honed, but its very quick, may be a taste worth acquiring and it’s also the most styling and beautiful car in all over the world.

After Germans now the Americans are going to do such things, which is a gift to the automotive world. The automotive world has a powerful, world class and speeding sports vehicle in the shape of BMW M5. But now the Americans have discovered a vehicle which can face the challenge of the German sports sedan. It’s the Cadillac CTS-V. This Cadillac CTS-V featured an engine with the displacement of 6200cc and produces 556 brake horse powers and a Variable Valve Timing ignition is also the part of the powerful engine. The engine has 8 cylinders in it. This vehicle has a drive train with a 6 speed automatic transmission. This new CTS-V is now the standard CTS-V with all new improvements from the head to toe of the vehicle. The exterior contains a beautiful large grill, 18 inches alloy wheels, lights has been changed a more slimmer than to the first one. Air extractor’s vents are located right before the front door. This Cadillac CTS-V has a excellent braking system and brake calipers.

This new Caddy has a new system in it, which monitors the tire pressure, a touch screen navigation system in it with weather data, 40 GB hard disc for entertainment and music storage, real time traffic maps and remote starting. The Sedan is a front engine and rear wheel drive vehicle and have four-by-four option in it. This high performance vehicle covers an initial distance of 100 kilo meter with in just 3.8 seconds. It’s very amazing to have such a speed. It’s great car as like the BMW M5. The other about the vehicle is the economical fuel performance. The sedan is very economical as compared to the BMW M5. The top speed of this vehicle is claimed by the General Motors is 191 mile per hour. This is the all new Cadillac CTS-V, an amazing car.

The General Motor Company is selling this Sports Utility Vehicle which is most luxurious and full size.  This full size luxury SUV has a power to challenge the Toyota Land Cruiser, Range Rover, Hummer H2, Lexus LX 470 and several other Sports Utility Vehicle.
