The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro was first introduced as a concept model. But this model will no longer be a concept as the company has made an announcement of building about 60 units. The car will be powered with three engine options such as a naturally aspirated 427ci V8 engine, 327ci V8 engine along with a 2.9 liter supercharger and a 327ci V8 engine along with a 4.0 liter supercharger. All the models will be available with a Powerglide automatic transmission that has been specially designed for drag racing. The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro will have a sequenced build number that will be matched to the engine and then sold without a Vehicle Identification Number which cannot be registered using on the highway. All the models will be specially built to run in the NHRA and will be introduced as a race-ready model along with all the features from roll cages to fuel cells in the trunk. The Cobra Jet and the Drag Pak have been winners in these NHRA classes. The car will be available in five different colors such as Summit White, Silver Ice Metallic, Ashen Gray Metallic, Flat Black and Victory Red. The 2012 Chevrolet COPO Camaro will be delivered during the summer of 2012 and this will be the quickest Camaro Chevy has ever produced by the company.
