Mercedes-Benz will release soon an updated range of small-sized minivan. As the model is still sold , will be available in two body styles: three and five doors. The new model has changes in the appearance of the bodywork, the interior coating materials and equipment, moreover, in some versions of Mercedes-Benz has taken various measures to have lower consumption. All Class A engines are four cylinders. There are four alternative fuel: 150 (95 hp); A 170 (116 hp), 200 (136 hp) and 200 Turbo (193 hp). Diesel powered, there are three variants: A 160 CDI (82 hp), 180 CDI (109 hp) and 200 CDI (140 hp) gasoline engines in the name refers to the displacement. In the Diesel, as they have the same block of 2.0 l. The changes to reduce consumption are given in versions A 150, A 170 and A 160 CDI, in the latter, only three-door body. Mercedes-Benz calls these versions “BlueEFFICIENCY.”. These versions will be available in autumn, ie after the launch of the new Class A. The changes affect these variants are of two types. The A 160 CDI BlueEfficiency has improved aerodynamics (among others, the body is 10 mm nearer to the ground) in weight, rolling resistance and also has an alternator that does not reduce engine power to the phases acceleration, only generates energy retention phases. These measures make the A 160 CDI pass spending 3p 4.9 l/00 km to 4.5 l/100 km.

The SLS AMG is a luxury car developed by Mercedes-Benz AMG to fit in the grand tourers class. The car is the successor of the SLR McLaren and is described by Mercedes as a spiritual successor to the 300SL Gullwing. The car was unveiled in 2009, and will get in production in the mid-2010 in Europe and mid-2011 in USA. SLS AMG is currently used as a safety car in 2010 Formula One Season. The car’s design is inspired by the 300SL Gullwing. SLS Has a long bonnet and the driver and passenger seats are quite close to the rear axle the rear of the car is quite short also. The SLS uses a 6.3 L V8 engine producing 563 hp (420 kW) with 7 speed dual clutch semi-auto transmission and the unique thing Is the transfer from the transmission to the axle which happens with a carbon fiber driveshaft. The SLS AMG can accelerate from 0-62 mph in 3.8 seconds and the top speed is electronically restricted to 197 mph (317 km/h). The Exterior is built of aluminum only and is the only road going Mercedes next to the CL65 AMG with the ALUBEAM paint available. At the rear there’s a hidden spoiler which will pop out at high speed similar to the Bugatti Veyron.

The S-Class sedan is larger and more luxurious Mercedes-Benz. It is available with two body styles that differ between them by their length and wheelbase: 13 cm.. This model 2009 is an update released in 2005 (model 2006).

Cosmetic changes regarding the S-Class 2006 model affect the grid, the front bumper, headlights and the drivers. The most important innovations are those that are related to the introduction of S 400 BlueHYBRID hybrid version and the available equipment items related to safety.

The engines:

Regarding the S-Class 2005, 2009 is distinguished mainly by new items of equipment that may be related to security. These are the automatic lights progressively from short to long and vice versa (” Adaptive HighBeam Assist “), a device that controls the driver’s attention (” Attention Assist “), the alert involuntary change lanes (” Lane Keeping Assist ” ) and the speed limit indicator (” Speed Limit Assist ).

Incredible though it might seem there are apparently some people who think that the 626bhp Mercedes McLaren SLR isn’t quite quick – or exclusive – enough. If you happen to be one of them, the good news is that the even more powerful 722 Edition has finally arrived. The bad news, however, is that it costs an extra £32,500. Limited to a run of only 150 models, the 722 is named after the Mercedes 300 SLR that British racing legend Stirling Moss and co-driver Dennis Jenkinson drove to victory in the 1955 Mille Miglia race from Brescia to Rome and back in Italy. The number actually refers to the time – 7.22am – that they started the grueling 1,000-mile challenge, which they completed at a record-breaking average speed of 100mph. With more power and less weight than the standard version, the SLR 722 has been sent to the gym and put on a carbon fiber diet to give a more aggressive, track-biased driving experience.

In addition, the steering has been sharpened, the suspension firmed up and the aerodynamics honed even further to increase its stability at high speed. Reprogramming the hand-built 5.5-litre supercharged V8 engine’s electronic black box has pushed output to 650bhp at 6,500rpm, and torque to 800Nm at 4,000rpm – that’s 24bhp and 40Nm more than a standard SLR. From a standstill, the 722 will hammer its way to 60mph in 3.6 seconds and hit a top speed of 210mph. The five-speed paddle shift automatic transmission and its gearing remain unchanged. To handle that power boost, the newcomer is fitted with huge 390mm carbon fiber-reinforced ceramic brake discs and lightweight alloy wheels.

This Mercedes is all about speed, and as you would expect, the SLR is ferociously fast. With all that torque on tap, it simply catapults past slower traffic with ease, with the big V8 power plant trumpeting its NASCAR soundtrack through its side-mounted exhausts.

Mercedes has announced (February 26) that this year’s F1 safety car will be based on its gull-wing SLS 63 AMG. The supercharged V8 supercar, with its doors hinged on the roof, will be the fastest F1 safety car ever and draws its design cues from the classic 1950s Mercedes 300SL. The road-going SLS 63 AMG has recently gone on sale with a list price of £157,500 and 571bhp. It has been promoted recently by Michael Schumacher, in a dramatic TV advert that sees the German drive upside-down in a tunnel. Bernd Maylander will again be the full-time safety car driver and will get his hands on the car it at the opening round in Bahrain in two-week time. The SLS AMG has a 6.3-litre V8 engine with 571bhp. Its 0-100kph (62mph) time may not rival F1 cars but at 3.8 seconds it’s not to be sniffed at. The SLS AMG replaces the SL 63 AMG, introduced two years ago. The existing Medical Car, a C63 AMG estate, will remain in use.

Mercedes-Benz has already given us a strong clue about how the show’s second generation CLS limo-coupe by the Shooting Break concept presented in April in Beijing. Analyzing spy photos emerged now, it is clear that the new CLS over the front of the concept, with minor modifications.

This revolutionary model from Mercedes is already preparing for a second generation, which shall not depart very much from the recipe that brought him success. Will be preserved body four-door coupe with an aspect but also will have a hybrid engine. This will most likely be found that S400 Hybrid, and future, with the launch at the end of next year. Instead, the model will be built on the S-class platform – was developed on the current E-Class, will be more elegant and generous. Headlights are the same (solid LED) and grille and bumper follows the same lines as for the concept. Side tool does not vary greatly with the current model, the dome-shaped ceiling is maintained. Rear taillights stands tear-shaped, very successful.

The engine lineup of the next CLS will see a complete turnover:

CLS350, 3.5-liter direct-injection V-6, 292 hp; power output increases to 306 hp in 2012

CLS550, 5.5-liter V-8, 388 hp; superseded by 435-hp direct-injection twin-turbo V-8 in 2012

CLS55 AMG, 5.5-liter twin-turbo direct-injection V-8, 570 hp; available from mid-2011 onward

CLS320 CDI, 3.0-liter turbo-diesel V-6, 224 hp; replaced in 2011 by 313-hp CLS350 CDI

Who wouldn’t forget to mention this car which is manufactured by one of the largest and prestigious company of cars? This classic, automatic transmission and low mileage, gas car had been and still is very famous nowadays. Although we have fast cars now, such as rally cars and track/road race automobiles we never forget this car that had once been so popular in the 1950’s. Now, this type of car is for collectors yet it still has the same high-priced amount like before. When Mercedes Benz enters, it seems though that the whole world turns to classic and the animated world of the 21st century fades to classic black and white. Everyone would stare to the car that’s under the spotlight of an old-aged film. There’s always that unexplainable charm that draws a lot of ladies. Then, I would picture a guy in tuxedo, wearing a bowler hat and biting a tobacco in his mouth and leaning his back on his 1957 Mercedes Benz.

The high performance family car frenzy of the early 1990s was so pronounced that Britain’s CAR magazine followed report on its first drive of the 377 bhp Lotus Carlton with two pages on the Mercedes equivalent, the 326 bhp V8 engined E class saloon. Like the Lotus Carlton, the 500 E required some serious surgery under the standard issue body and, like General Motors, Mercedes framed the project out in the case to Porsche. Rather than spend time radically modifying the engine to fit in an ex factory car, Mercedes fitted an ex factory engine into a heavily modified body shell. The entire front section of the car had to be redesigned in order to accommodate the V8 power plant, and heavier gage steel was used for better crash performance. Outwardly, the only clue was the flared wheel case, which allowed for a wider front tracks. Two massive catalytic converters under the floor meant that the 500E’s transmission tunnel had to be widened; the upshot was that the car had to be homologated as a four seater.

The suspension and braking systems were pretty much carried over from the SL sports car, with some modifications including ASR, one of the first sophisticated traction control systems. Thanks to the sophisticated traction control system. Thanks to the massive competence of the chassis, and the help from ASR, the 500E was described at the time as a ‘can do no wrong car’. It was extremely fast, rode surprisingly well, had exceptional roadholding, but it was remarkably easy to drive flat out.

Mercedes had long been synonymous with beautiful two seater roadster, starting with the classic, 1950s, gullwingned SL 300. The company’s SL range developed over the years into one of the most desirable up market models produced. However, the SL’s high end engineering also meant high end prices. As part of Mercedes’ 1990 dash for diversification, the company cooked up plans for a more affordable roadster. The SLK (a German acronym for Sporting, light and small) was first seen as a concept in 1994. It was based on a shortened C Class saloon platform, which partly accounted for its slightly stumpy appearance, but it ensured that the car as rear wheel drive and based on proven components. The car’s engineering revolution actually lay in the folding hard top. Rather than use a conventional fabric roof, Mercedes engineers managed to design a steel roof which could automatically fold up and be stored under the boot lid. Although the concept has been seen on other vehicles in the past, Mercedes, genius was to get the roof to collapse into a very small space. The result was that the SLK could offer open air motoring in fine conditions, but in poor conditions, the SLK’s cabin would as wind and water light as conventional coupe.

Although the SLK in this first version was never viewed as a serious driving machine, the SLK sold exceptionally well to those who wanted roadster style with any compromises for inconvenience. The SLK’s folding roof was widely copied by mass manufactures to the point that 10 years after its introduction virtually all European car makers had a folding hard top in their rage.
