The Renault Altica was first introduced at the 2006 Geneva Motor Show as a concept vehicle and it is also described as a shooting-brake. The vehicle has been specially designed with features of a station wagon and a coupe. It is available with a 2.0 liter Diesel dCi engine that is capable of producing about 177 bhp along with a torque of 280 lb-ft. This model also features a 6-speed transmission and it is able to accelerate from 0-60 mph in about 7.5 seconds. It also emits 140kg/km CO2 emission which is very low compared to its class because of its aerodynamics and another rear feature which is known as Synthetic Jet. The Renault Altica has a length of 4,271 mm, width of 1,831 mm, height of 1,350 mm and it also weighs around 2,900 lb. The vehicle is available with butterfly doors and it also has a luggage capacity of 1,300 liters. The Synthetic Jet feature is a patented aerodynamic device that includes 2 mm wide slot at the extreme rear of the roof. The slot air is sucked and then blown to control the separation of air as per the speed of the vehicle. The Renault Altica Synthetic Jet feature is expected to reduce the Cd of the vehicle by about 15% which increases the fuel economy. So, by the end of the last year, in Paris, was tested the Renault Fluence ZE and Kangoo Z.E., but only the production models. There are the models that were part of the second phase of development, very close to the pre-series. People from Renault promised us that somewhere in the middle of 2011 there will be several models of Fluence ZE and Kangoo Z.E. onto the markets. There was to be the mid-year of 2011, but the two models are from the French manufacturer, so they were unveiled in the Denmark, France and Spain showrooms (the Renault Fluence Z.E.) and the Renault Kangoo Z.E. is available in England and Germany. The world will admire the two electric models from Renault in showrooms with the beginning of 2012. Speaking of the Frenchm, the manufacturer plans to begin in the early next year, because at the middle of 2012, it is planned to be launched the Renault Zoe – it is the first electric model built from scratch. The Renault 3 is a 5-door hatchback low budget model of the Renault 4 supermini with smaller engine and it was produced from 1961 to 1962. The car which was first introduced at the Paris Salon was available with a 603 cc engine that was able to produce about 3 hp along with a 3-speed transmission. This model was available for purchase only in France with grey color along with a minor change of shade on later versions. The car was a very basic model with simple and spartan look and its bumpers were painted with the same color as the bodywork. The Renault 3 had a length of 367 cm, width of 149 cm, height of 155 cm and it had a weight of around 570 kg. The car had a fuel tank with a capacity of 26 liters and it was capable of reaching a top speed of around 90 km/h. It was introduced without a third side window, but it featured a screen washer, hubcaps and interior door linings. During the production period, this model was considered to be very mean and also avoided the cost of chrome plating. The Renault 3 grille has been limited to a grid cut in the hood. About 2526 units were produced during the production period of the car and only 11 units were in running order. This is one of the highly coveted models by collectors worldwide as it is very hard to find.

Recently, France’s Renault said it plans to build a car for an amount of 2500 euro, so much cheaper even than the Dacia Logan and Sandero, thus they are affirming their intentions to enter the market for ultra-low-cost cars, which currently activates only the Tata Nano, known as the cheapest car in the world. We have advanced this hypothesis, a mini Dacia, a few years ago, but we even brought enough reasons for the 2,500 Dacia Euro cars. But the Germans from Auto Bild seems to be more realistic, so they are coming with another proposal: Dacia city. According to German’s publication, the new Dacia Citadine will be a city car with a length of about 3.5 meters, a direct competitor for Volkswagen Up! (competition that was brought in our discussion). Interestingly is that, they are rendering depicts of a 5 door model, not just three, as the Renault Twingo, so the Germans say that Dacia will build the new city.

In appearance, the Dacia Citadine’s possible appearance was launched all over the continent by those from Auto Bild, whom believe that this would be updated, because the new Dacia Lodgy grille showing us quite clearly that the future Dacia brand image will always change.

Renault Kangoo ZE is a 100% electric van and was voted at the “International Van of the Year 2012″ by a panel of 22 European journalists, all of them being specialized in commercial vehicles.

This is the first time in history when an electric vehicle wins this title, surpassing many heat engine designs. Sold in October in Europe, the Kangoo ZE has already won three awards: “International Van of the Year 2012″ and the other two awards in Ireland and Denmark. With 104 of 168 possible points, Kangoo Z.E. won the so much disputed title of the “Van of the Year 2012″, ahead with models like the Iveco Daily, Fiat Ducato and the VW Caddy. The prestigious trophy was awarded to Jean-Marie Hurtiger, the director of the Renault’s commercial vehicle, at the opening contest of the 14th edition of the International Exhibition “Trailer” from Belgium.

Pieter Wieman, the president of the jury said: “Among with the Kangoo ZE, Renault manages to make electric vehicles and it makes itself a van customer accessible for people from all over Europe. This model has a major contribution to the environmental protection, one of the most important issues in the field being the road freight transport. Jean-Marie Hurtiger said: “This prize rewards the efforts of the Renault team who have dedicated the last years for the Kangoo ZE project, one of the four models of electric cars from the Renault range. The whole company was involved in this affair, in front with the design centers and plants at the Maubeuge and commercial teams that have accepted this challenge in a remarkable way, showing determination, creativity and especially a great team spirit”.

The 2011 Renault Frendzy is a new concept vehicle that was introduced at the 64th Frankfurt Motor Show. It is available with an electric motor that is able to generate about 60 hp and 166 lbs-ft of torque along with a direct drive transmission including reverse. The vehicle is capable of reaching a top speed of about 80 mph. There is no glazing and centre pillar on the passenger’s side of the vehicle, but it is available with one conventional door and sliding side door including 37 inch widescreen display. The center opening doors provides ease of loading and entry for the passengers. The 2011 Renault Frendzy interior has been designed with green light focusing on the dashboard which is similar to the exterior color of the vehicle. The fabric roof with magnetic fixings helps the load in the vehicle to be secured to the floor along with modular stowage systems which is additonal from business users. It interior space which also includes cargo carrying space and rear door panels that has been designed with strikingly shaped nozzles. The 2011 Renault Frendzy also has truly interactive and communicative features including BlackBerry PlayBook tablet which can be plugged into the dashboard. There are sensors located on each door sill along with RFID or Radio Frequency IDentification chips with key details including destination address, weight and dimensions of the vehicle. The tradesmen can also calculate their itineraries automatically on the basis of these details.

The 2012 Renault Grand Scenic is an all new compact MPV with a new front fascia, restyled taillights and updated wheels. The vehicle also features two important elements such as Renault driver alertness and a night-time vision. This new system has a warning system for lane-departure and automatic lighting functions to detect light in a nearby vehicle or presence of street lighting.

Renault is able to escape at the Paris Motor Show and will not release a strange concept that has no connection with the production models? No, it could not do that.

And it’s good that it has nothing to do with the production models, because of the VelSatis Avantime that have had a limited success, Ondelios was only a good car show. But we can contradict you. ”Ondelios is inspired by motion rather than speed and is a new call of the open road”, said Patrick Le Quement, Renault’s Design Director. A response as complicated as the design concept.
Renault Ondelios has a length of 4.8 meters and 1.6 meters high and is a vision of a French manufacturer of high-end model with inspiration from the world of aviation. Equipped with two huge gull type doors, the prototype features three rows of seats, a very futuristic interior and a Samsung portable multimedia equipment set for each passenger of the car.

The chances that the lines of this concept will be included in a future Renault model are weak, the same can be said about the drivetrain, which seems much more contemporary. It is a 2.0 dCi engine which develops 205hp assisted by two electric motors of 20kW to accelerate the huge car from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.8 seconds, while the average consumption is just 4.5 liters per hundred kilometers and the CO2 emissions are also reduced for a model of such size: 120 g CO2 per km.
Who is still thrilled by how this model looks can visit the Paris Motor Show, where the prototype will be exhibited for the first time.
