The Audi Rosemeyer was introduced at Autostadt during 2000 by Audi and other auto shows all across Europe. The Gallardo-based R8 is expected to be the successor of this model. It has been powered by a 8 liter W16 5-cylinder mid-mounted engine that is capable of producing about 78 hp and 561 lb-ft at 4,000 rpm along with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car also features a permanent four-wheel drive system and it can reach a top speed of around 217.5 mph. This model was specially designed to get attention with its unique combined elements of modern design and styling that strongly resembles former Auto Unions Silver Arrows Grand Prix racers. The Audi Rosemeyer has a wheelbase of 2,911 mm, width of 4,539 mm and it also looks very similar to the Bugatti Veyron with W16 engine. The car is a low-built coupe which has famous Silver Arrows and plenty of space in the middle of its giant wheels. This model has a very long wheelbase which gives space for two passengers and a large-capacity engine in the front of rear axle. The Audi Rosemeyer is available with a large-diameter drilled brake discs on the giant wheels which are logical counterpart to its performance. It also features body shaped air inlets, headlight units in the aerodynamically shaped nose, powerful xenon headlights and flat lights behind flush-fitting metal panels. The car failed to enter into production because of it required extremely high projected production costs.

The Audi Q3 Jinlong Yufeng is a special edition that was officially introduced at the 2012 Beijing Auto Show. The name Jinlong Yufeng means Golden Dragon in the Wing in English that has been kept to celebrate the SUV’s launch in the Chinese market. The vehicle will be available with a 2.5 liter, 5-cylinder TFSI engine that is able to generate about 310 hp along with a 7-speed transmission. It is capable of reaching 0-60 mph in about 5.5 seconds along with a top speed of around 155 mph. This special edition can be a perfect choice for the kite surfers as it features two roof-mounted carbon-fiber reinforced polymer boards. The Audi Q3 Jinlong Yufeng is also available with a clever kite pouch which can be used to hold wet articles of clothing or a beach umbrella. The interior features more luxurious design which includes an instrument panel that has been upholstered in black Fine Nappa Leather along with matching yellow seams, a titanium gray Alcantara roof liner, steel decorative inlays, gloss black trims, seats dressed in velvet leather and dashboard features lot of aluminum accents. The Audi Q3 Jinlong Yufeng exterior is available with Liuli Yellow paint along with few special off-road body components. It also has LED spotlights in the grille, integrated dual-exit exhaust and brushed stainless steel running boards. The vehicle has a set of removable, wireless video cameras which can be attached to the sail bar or helmet.

With the international press launch, the new Audi S8 is on the road in search of glory. Where to launch a real “bull” if not in Spain and in a “corridor”? Well, that’s right: on the circuit? Audi S8, proved that it “knows” what is a circuit and that means, among speed, comfort and fuel economy on the road.

The third generation of Audi S8 brings a new design that fits perfect to the German manufacturer’s brand image. They present us some technical tricks to highlight the elegance of an A8 sedan and the sportiness that Audi S emblem should display. We are talking about a large grid with aluminum elements, four exhaust pipes and a special paint that emphasize the body lines and surfaces, all being discreetly applied, without showing off. Inside of the car, we find refinement, quality, carbon inserts and wood (with some trim levels), those are some words which underlines and characterizes the interior. It was designed to deliver maximum comfort, massage, heating and ventilation in all seats, with an electronic control noise for the inside. Basically, the cabin is equipped with four microphones to “supervise” and analyze the noise from the inside of the car and a central unit that searches and checks their frequencies. After that, the car audio sound generates inverse frequencies, thus it is neutralizing the disturbing noises in the cockpit. As the massage system, driver’s seat is equipped with 10 air “pillows” that massages your back muscles as one of the five preset programs, which has five different intensities.

The Audi has now in its range at last, but not least, the Audi Q3 SUV. It is a small car, compared with her brothers, perfect for the city, shopping, family, and with sufficient capabilities in rough terrain.

A lot of people tested the new SUV and were impressed by its performance. The car is able to provide a comfortable ride for both town and beyond. Depending on the driving style, the car can offer a very low fuel consumption, while we talk about the 2.0 liter diesel engine with an output of 177 horsepower. Standing outside of a “mail” of the Audi’s DNA, we are prestigious talking about a grid dominated by the Audi logo, but also a daytime front with LED technology lights outlining the front. In terms of size, the car can “sneak” into the urban jungle with ease congestion and finding a park place is not a very big problem. A minor disadvantage is given by the console which is rather long and raises small problems, especially in rough terrain, with the risk of reaching to the front spoiler, but with a little attention, this situation can be avoided. On the other hand, the Audi Q3 is a very big car with off-road claims and it is designed more for the city and travel on asphalt. But if the situation requires so, the car is able to surmount obstacles encountered in rough terrain environments. From the outside, the whole car is designed to provide a good compromise between the crowded urban traffic and in-kind getaway.

I was in Munich for the first tests with the new A6 Allroad and the first hybrid luxury sedan ever built by Audi – the A8 Hybrid. So, here are the first impressions after testing those cars.

One year after Audi launched the new generation of the A6, now the German manufacturer complete the range with an Audi Allroad quattro version, the A6 wagon with four-wheel drive and raised the ground clearance to protect the body side panels. Moreover, the new Allroad comes available with the new 3.0 liter diesel TDI twin-turbo with 313 hp which already makes it not only an alternative to an SUV, a sporty SUV, thanks to those 650 Nm torque. Unlike the previous generation of A6 Allroad that does not only show a break line just like the SUV does, it looks like the rest of the Audi models, are just sexy and sporty, sincer there were installed the LED lights on the trunk line.

Once they sit on their own wheels, you feel that you are in an Audi. The quality of materials is above average, as we have expected. All four passengers have sufficient space, whether we are talking about a short trip or an extended holiday. I appreciated the luggage compartment and the powered tailgate which automatically drew the curtains while opening. I also appreciated the MMI system that could connect via Bluetooth to a mobile phone within seconds and I also could connect a cable for an easy access to the iPhone music collection on it.

Echoes say that the new BMW 3 Series influences have been strongly felt in Ingolstadt, where the new A4 sedan is now arriving with the Allroad Avant and S4-performance.

Launching the BMW 3 Series could not leave anybody indifferent and if the Bavarian brand fans have a new topic of debate, it was quite clear that premium manufacturers from BMW have an up competition and will have to rethink their plans. First, the incoming attack came from the Audi, which has just officially presented the full range Audi A4 facelift. Thus, not only for a classic sedan, it has updated the German battle triplets, with Avant, Allroad and S4. As a general observation, we can record the adoption of a hexagonal grid, inspired by the German flagship and by the luxurious Audi A8 with the adoption of its bumpers. The headlights are taken from the Audi A5, whose design was also recently updated and the configuration of the car is also new. The dimensions were not affected by the facelift of the sedan and Avant versions, so that the car now measures 4.70 meters long (the Allroad and S4 have 4.72 meters long) with a higher quality interiory than the well known classic interior for Audi, with new colors for the upholstery and with new sets of wheels. Audi also offers a new design and ignition for the the A4 versions. The engines now offer a lower consumption with about 11% less, despite the increase of power and torque. Thus, the 1.8 liter TFSI engine provides 170 hp and 320 Nm of torque at an average consumption of only 5.6 liters / 100 km.

2013 Audi A4 Allroad

The 2013 Audi A4 Allroad is an updated version of the A4 series which will be available as a all-wheel-drive wagon. It also features a 2.0 liter 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing about 211 hp at 4300 rpm and 258 ft-lbs at 1500 rpm along with a 8-speed automatic transmission along with manual shift control. The chassis of the vehicle offers high ride comfort along with superior safety. Both rear suspension control arms and shock absorbers have been finely tuned. The first hybrid luxury class Audi was released to the public in Frankfurt and will be sold not beginin with 2011, but with 2012.

The production of the hybrid A8 will start in 2012 when under the hood, the car will have an ultra-eco 2.0 TFSI petrol engine which will be added to an electric motor.The 2.0 liter petrol engine produces 211 hp and a maximum torque of 350 Nm and the disc-shaped electric motor produces 54 hp and a maximum torque of 210 Nm. Combined, the two units will produce 245 hp and 480 Nm that is close to the 3.0 liter diesel engine of the Audi company. Theverage consumption is 6.4 liters / 100 km announced for the petrol engine. The A8 hybrid can run up to 100 km / h in electric mode. If you run at a constant speed of 60 km / h, the A8 hybrid will run for about three kilometers. The Audi A8 Hybrid accelerates from 0-100 km / h in 7.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 235 km / h and the CO2 emissions are officially announced as 148 grams per kilometer.

The wheels in standard size are on 18 inch and as optional, the 19 inch rims, which have a special design of turbine blades. It seems that the engineers want to race with the other designers, because the BMW goes on the same idea for the eco models with special wheels. There is a special body color, Arctic Silver and various sites are announcing the hybrid badge mounted under the hood. As a standard and optional equipment for other versions, Audi offers for hybrid - metallic paint, air conditioning system in three zones, LED headlights and Bose sound system.

The 2013 Audi TT RS plus is a more powerful, dynamic and fastest car compared to its previous models. Cars from the countries should be pursued by sport police cars. Perhaps this was the motto of the ABT tuner, who presented at the Essen Motorshow this Audi R8 GTR specially made for the police departments.

In fact, we are talking about an Audi R8 GTR prepared and ready for the police, but it’s just the beginning of the campaign ”TUNE IT SAFE!”, which takes place every year at the biggest European auto tuning salon, the Essen Motorshow. This is a campaign started up at the instigation of the Ministry of Transport in Germany. The presented car, an Audi R8 GTR is equipped with various equipment from popular tuners and aftermarket accessories from a cars specialist: warning lights were specially created by Hella and the police style stickers from the car come from Foliatec.

The ABT tuner adapted the outdoor kit to this car so that it was not a complicated job, with a carbon fiber splitter and with a modified rear spoiler, discharges and other outputs, especially with a huge spoiler, reminiscent of the racing GTR. Very important is that the car of the ABT has received a technical upgrade, a V10 engine, which power was increased with 95 hp, bringing the car to an amount of 620 hp. Therefore, the Audi R8 GTR ”Police Car” modified by the ABT tuner goes from 0 to 100 km / h in just 3.2 seconds and reaches 200 km / h in just 9.9 seconds, so that now the maximum speed of the car reaches the value of 325 km / h.
