The main features of this model are given by the outer dimensions of the body, being comparable in this regard with a compact class car, but with a high driving position, the right one for an SUV. We tested this time a special edition car, the Diamond Edition version that distinguishes from the model number with some specific elements both from outside and inside. We are talking about a colored front bumper, which is equipped with daytime running lights with LED technology. The rear bumper is also painted in the body color, but is equipped with parking sensors, dual exhaust with oval section and taillights that have the LED technology. Another distinctive feature of the special version is given by placing the logo on both doors. The best part of the car is inside this special version, where we meet special options worthy of this premium brands. More specifically, seats, armrests and doors, all covered in leather. Moreover, the front seats are provided with a massage system, pneumatically actuated. For everything to be perfect, the multimedia system is provided by Clarion NX501E, a unit with multiple functions: rearview camera, steering wheel with audio controls, handsfree, navigation maps for all Europe, SD card slot, USB port, touchscreen with slide navigation. If I was about to accuse something inside, I could say that I hated the plastics covering surfaces.

After marching through several places with their concept Mitsubishi Global Small Concept, the Japanese have decided to publicly disclose the model number even at the Tokyo Motor Show 2011, under the name of Mitsubishi Mirage. It is a small class model designed to replace the urban corner one, so all we can say about the Mitsubishi Colt is that it is a quite nervous car which seems that in the case of Japanese Mirage, the main point in this specification is simplicity. Wishing to make a car for the customers taste, very different from the auto market, Mitsubishi Mirage adopts a curiously calm style amd it is not easily identifiable at first glance. The front has a very small scale, but the headlights did not impressed at all the brand image, being promoted by the new Mitsubishi Lancer or ASX. The side of the car brings a slight shadow onto the dynamic landscape, thanks to thee median rising edge, while it is still behind the idea of ​​simplicity on the front. The interior of the Mitsubishi Mirage relies on simplicity, but offers very modern facilities so that the car is fairly a small car for town, with a length of 3.71 meters, 13 cm less than the current Colt. Also, the diference from the current Colt is that the car is reduced with 2 cm width and is 3 inches lower at the height.

Probably everyone thinks about “the pivot” while hearing the Nissan Pivo name. Japanese think that this was applied in a very ingenious in the first two Pivo concepts, which enjoyed a 360 degree swiveling cab, so this seems a revolutionary idea for a possible model and now, at the Tokyo Motor Show 2012, Japanese recur with a more conventional Nissan Pivo 3, which seems kind of Renault Twizy, but a little bit more dressed. The Pivot point remains, however, applied to the drivetrain, where the rear wheels are turning and Nissan Pivo 3 can rotate completely around the central axis. Nissan Pivo 3 has two doors that open to the rear, sliding, much like the same style as those on the Peugeot 1007. A practical idea in crowded parking lots, offering to the three passengers a much easier access in and out of the car. The seat layout is like the ones on the McLaren F1 supercar, so that the driver is sitting in the center and the other two passengers in the rear. The car has 3.05 meters long and the turning circle is about 2 meters, due to the spin of all 4 wheels. The cabin has a simply design, with all signs and displays concentrated in a digital dashboard, in front of the driver. The steering lacks the top, which contributes to a very good visibility at the dashboard, where are placed the side displays for the exterior cameras that take the role of mirrors.

Built on a modified platform of the Freelander 2, this is the smallest model, an easier and more accessible for Range Rover that the brand ever built. LR luxury brand; do you need one? Certainly, yes. Evoque will be the car that will bring significant sales that figures the worldwide as a second or a family car that already has a RR as a model just for home, or for someone who is just entering the world of the British brand. Evoque’s main competitors are the BMW X1 and Audi Q3 but these are fighting exclusively in the five-door version top. The coupe model, we tested here, has currently no competitors.

Opel Performance Center or OPC, is the performance division of the Opel Insignia OPC and has not got a discordant note, offering performances and feelings that can not be found in a normal car, at least not in one from those of the Opel’s portfolio. Aesthetically, Insignia OPC proudly displays its very DNA of sports products. Generously dimensioned air intakes, whose design exudes the feeling of power, so that the front of Insignia OPC can be described in a single word: power. Those from Opel in Germany invited us to “taste” the special version of the Opel Insignia OPC. We are talking about the Unlimited Edition, which boasts that it is not limited in any way. And where can you go with a car at full speed if not in Germany? Equipped with a 2.8 liter V6 engine capable to develop 325 horsepower, Opel Insignia OPC Unlimited even took us to its maximum speed of 270 km / h. The car needs 6.0 seconds to reach to 100 km / h. Basically, we did not realized when the car reached its maximum speed. This means that speed can be a very simple example of the expression “Pedal to the metal” and this say it all. Once with the engine start, you realize that you are driving a little “monster” instead of a car.

Usually the limited series are a marketing tool, therefore you should not expect at many changes and when you hear of a model produced in only 500 copies, it is also clearly that this car is just a plastic. Well, Opel Corsa OPC Nurburgring Edition is nothing of those above.

I honestly do not understand why they involved only a limited number of 500 copies and those of Opel worked bery hard at this version Nurburgring Edition. How far from does those from Opel invested in this limited series car, we had the opportunity to discover later. And what about the “basic” version of the Corsa OPC, car that we remember a lot, but the picture of the car was not clearly outlined so I had the opportunity to drive the new OPC Opel Performance onto the training circuit where I tortured the limited range car and the simple OPC version. A novice should have a well trained eye to identify the limited series car, but I did not had the chance to look back for another model. The difference is easy to be seen, because the car has moved from a central to a dual exhaust, which is fairly generous in size. The bumper grew in size and was placed over the tailgate. In the front, it can be seen mounted a discreet front spoiler, designed to improve the aerodynamics. But Corsa OPC Nurburgring Edition can be most easily identified after the series dedicated rims of 18 inch. Therefore, the evolution is quite discreet when it comes to the aesthetic level. I sincerely appreciated the discretion of the Nurburgring Edition version.
