The largest and most luxurious coupe from BMW’s history has officially arrived in all over the Europe. It now has a fabulous sound system, full LED technology for the headlights and four-wheel drive. Yes, it is the new BMW 650i xDrive Coupe.

Designed almost identical to the Cabriolet, the new Coupe is impressive – just like its twin convertible in terms of size. I think the design of the Cabriolet’s retractable roof and the rear power looks better than the same parts of the coupe, but this is a purely subjective statement. BMW’s Coupe never failed to show as well as the 6 Series. It has generous proportions and as I said, it looks very impressive, with everything revolutionized from the BMW Coupe to become more exclusive, therefore more expensive and more efficient. It has large dimensions for the exterior and it has a big interior space for the rear passengers. The car has a lot of space for the head, especially the shoulders and legs are considerably larger, so that the BMW brand provided the car with more comfortable seats.

The new model which is presented by the German tuner at the Dubai International Motor Show is based on the version of the Brabus Mercedes-Benz CL 600. The CL 600 V12 comes with a modification: the previous 5.5 liter engine is now 6.3 liter. The twin-turbo series was replaced with a charge made ​​by Brabus. It was redesigned and has two escape routes, where they integrate the turbines and the 4 intercoolers, thus Brabus V12 Biturbo 800 Coupe delivers 800 hp at 5,500 rpm and a torque of 1420 Nm at 2,100 rpm. Obviously, it will only provide around 1,100 Nm, so that the value will limitated. Impresionant for this engine is that it complies with Euro 5 emission standards. The power is sent to the rear axle via a 5 speed automatic gearbox. Obviously is that there is a rear axle, which has a limited slip differential. Those from Brabus have thought that there is no point stressing for the client, because Brabus 800 Coupe is decoupling algorithms from the electronic systems.

Finally, Koreans are beginning to release the official information and some images with their athlete facelift for Hyundai Genesis Coupe and is announcing the largest claims in the domain of the sportscoupe.

The powertrain for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is announced to be a new turbocharged four cylinder 2.0 liter engine, which has a maximum power of 279 hp and a maximum torque of 372 Nm. Compared to the previous engine, the new engine is equipped with the twin-scroll technology and is a part of the Theta family, so now comes with 66 hp and 73 Nm of torque. Hyundai Genesis Coupe also offers a V6 engine with a displacement of 3.8 liter with a direct injection, which translates into a maximum output of 355 hp (with 52 hp more than the previous V6) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm (beside 361 Nm from the previous model). The V6 will be coupled to an automatic gearbox with 8 reports, while the standard model comes up with a 6 speed manual gearbox.

This car was the star at the Melbourne Motor Show in 2008, without doubt, so that this is the anniversary concept of the Australian brand: Holden Coupe 60 Concept.

Addressing to a classical car, the concept succeeds, however, to be very aggressive, primarily with the look of its wide body. The 21 inch wheels fit in limit in their prominent passages and the ground clearance is very low. The stylish character is evidenced by the lack of an unsightly wing, the lift effect of dealing with a huge rear bumper, which “wears” a big muffler, one on each side. Overall, the car design is very clean and is highlighted by a very special paint called “Diamond Silver”.

The motorization is provided by a 6.0 liter V8, mated to a 6 speed manual gearbox that transmits power to the rear wheels - in other words, a dedicated circuit configuration for this car. Although, the power was not communicated, so the friends of nature should not be frightened, because the engine is FlexFuel type, so that the car is a vehicle running on E85 ethanol.

Inside, the carbon fiber seats have four point belts and the steering has beveled fertilizers with an immediately competitive atmosphere, as the gear lever or pedal hole. In the center console, it seems simply taken from the sedan family, but the clock has been replaced with a racing type display, digital display.

The rear seats also have a racing configuration, while the trunk is more than enough for athletes passengers of this concept. Officials do not exclude, in the future, a production model based on this concept, which mainly intended to reflect the future styling that Holden will impose to its models.

Renault sets the stage for what it promises to be the most important launch of the brand in the recent years by submitting a concept that although at first glance may seem very futuristic we might reserve surprises for the version number.

Along with the Twingo RS, Laguna 3 GT and Koleos, Renault will welcome the visitors to its stand with a concept that has managed to remain a secret until the day when it will be official unveiled in front of our eyes. As it can be seen from the pictures, the model is very similar to the one from the published spy photos captured last year on a circuit, so another obvious difference is still the 5 door model captured hidden in tests, a sign that Renault has decided to make individualization as clear for the models that will be named after the Megane.

With a length of 4.51 meters, the concept is the upper limit of the compact class, being equipped with a 2.0 liter gasoline turbo engine, which is not as spectacular as it looks or seems. With 200 horsepower and mated to a six speed manual gearbox, the car accelerates from 0 to 100 km / h in 7.2 seconds, providing a combined cycle consumption of 6.5 litres / 100 km. But the concept makes no attempt to draw attention to the technical side, the aim being to indicate the design you are going to choose for Renault in the future and the hence of the future Megane 3, that will be launched in autumn at the Paris Motor Show.

The fifth concept presented in this year, is based on the BMW 1 Series Coupe and makes a clear reference to the 60′s and 70′s, recalling the legendary 2002 hold.

For about 41 years ago, BMW launched the 02 range, which immediately became a standard for that period, in terms of agility, driving pleasure and dynamic characteristics of a car for such category. The top version was 2002 Tii range 02, benefiting of the fuel injection, brakes and larger wheels and specific exterior accessories. Besides the 2002 Turbo, the 2002 Tii is considered one of the most passionate car hunted by the collectors of BMW.

So, here is a very good starting point for the new concept, introduced by the Bavarians at the Tokyo Motor Show 2007. Although we used the term “concept” that needs to be associated with an extravagant design and the technical SF solutions,  the BMW Concept 1 Series Tii looks only slightly different from a 1 Series Coupe, because of the focus that was on the technical side. Thus, many car components made of CFP (carbon fiber reinforced with plastic material that combines exceptional resistance and a very low weight): the hood, mirror caps, grille, spoiler and the rear bumper. All these components have a special color, a matte black due to the carbon fiber.

Reminiscences of the past can be considered the white strip at the top of the windscreen or the badge “hold” on the front bumper, where is wrote “Mirror” – the 2002 Turbo racing badge was written in the same way on the bumper. The concept raises with something more discreet: white lines on the hood that are black.

The French manufacturer amazes us with a concept car that will precede the next version of the new Laguna coupe 3, equipped with an impressive diesel engine.

Over 20 years of marketing for the real last coupe, Fuego, Renault approaches this range very pretentious. If the launch of the third generation of Laguna Opinions the opinions were divided, at the appearance of the new coupe, there will certainly be a better image for the French manufacturer.

Built on the same technical platform with Laguna 3 Coupe, Renault presents the two-door sport model. Basically, the concept shares the same styling with the Fluence model presented as a prototype in 2004, measuring 4.685 m and the LED lights are borrowed from the NEPT concept. The long hood, the suddenly rear end and the shoulders are impressive features of a true coupe, giving it by the  huge grille to the thought that a big engine is mounted on the front.

And this is “big engine” is a 3.0 liter V6 dCi with top performances and refinement. The car is totally dedicated to the driving pleasure, the engine develops 265 hp whcih can be developed up to 5200 rpm and torque is 550 Nm at 1750 rpm. This engine was developed to become a benchmark for acoustic comfort and protect the environment, already complying with the Euro 6 standards.

Overhaul interval was increased to two years or 30,000 km, so that the engine will be produced at the Cleon plant in France in a cadence of 60,000 units per year. There will be a version with a low power of 230 hp and 450 Nm torque.

The Audi concept has made headlines in the Chinese Auto Show in Shanghai, which could mean that the final version will be presented in autumn in Frankfurt.

The second Audi SUV is prefigured as the Cross Coupe Quattro new concept, which, with Q7, will have the duty to strengthen the position of the Germans in the car field segment. ”Cross” is clearly coming from the crossover, the new name in vogue for cars with relative off-road capabilities, while “quattro” is a known card. ”Coupe” would fit pretty bad in the frame, but the fashionable four-door coupe or the SUV Coupe began to be increasingly prolific and it is very clear that inspired the Cross Coupe dynamism.

Audi Cross Coupe is VW Tiguan’s brother, so they share the same technical platform, the Golf V’s – actually, more correctly would be to say this about the future Q5, is foreshadowed by this concept. If Tiguan seems like a Touareg that shrinked and has a crazy design,  the Cross Coupe attempts to merge the specific sedan Avant shapes with the spirit of a sport coupe concept, just like the model from the last year, Roadjet, but now the SUV scores with the 20 inch wheels, that gives the aggressiveness that the car needed.
