Acura NSX (United States) is a sporty coupe class produced by the Japanese company Honda between 1990 and 2005.

Honda NSX or Acura NSX for the North America and Hong Kong, is the fastest sport car in production series, in function of longevity, the Japanese manufacturer keeping this model in production for 15 years.

The car has a central ordering motor and a rear-wheel drive, connected to a V6 VTEC engine, with electronic control for the valves (Variable Valve Timing Electronic Control), built entirely of aluminum.

It was assembled at the Takanezawa (Japan) plant, between 1990-2004 and between 2004-2005 at the Suzuka factory R & D (Japan).
The car came equipped with a 2977 cc V6 (C30A) of 270hp and 280Nm and then with a 3179 cc V6 (C32B) developing 304 Nm and 294hp. Transmission was achieved either by a 4-speed automatic gearbox or a 5-6-speed manual gearbox.

In 1984 Honda made ​​contact with Pininfarina Italian design center to draw the HP-X (Honda Pininfariba - Xperimental) initially configured with a 2.0 V6 liter engine.
After Honda decided to manufacture the model, the management informed the engineers that the car must be as good as any out-coming car from Italy or Germany, so the project HPX became the NSX prototype.

NS-X project was conducted under the leadership of chief designer Nicholas Zander and executive design engineer Shigeru Uehara, who handled further the Honda S2000 project.
