The Hyundai Langdong is a China-exclusive Elantra that was introduced at the 2012 Beijing International Automotive Exhibition. The name Langdong means dynamic for the young and new generation. The car is available with two engine options including 1.6 liter engine that is able to generate 93.8 kW of power along with 155.5 Nm of torque and 1.8 liter engine is capable of producing 107.4 kW of power along with 174.6 Nm of torque. It also features a standard 6-speed manual and automatic transmission along with Hyundai’s Active ECO driving mode. This is a compact car which offers the feel of a larger car. The Hyundai Langdong has a height of 1,680 mm, length of 4,690 mm, width of 1,880 mm and a wheelbase of 2,700 mm. The car is based on the Wind Craft concept from Hyundai’s larger design philosophy of Fluidic Sculpture. The interior features include navigation system, fully automatic air conditioning, fully adjustable power seats along with seat heaters, push-button start and an LCD instrument display. The car also has high safety ratings with features such as side air bags, tire pressure monitoring system and an emergency brake reminder. The Hyundai Langdong will be available with new advanced Blue Link infotainment system which offers a wide range of features with minimum driver distraction including navigation and remote control, safety and maintenance alerts. Overall, it offers a complete convenience of a compact car with practicality and comfort of a mid-sized car.

The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT is a new hatchback model that was first introduced at the Chicago Auto Show. It is available with a 1.8-liter Nu 4-cylinder engine that is capable of producing about 148 hp at 6500 rpm and a torque of 131 lb-ft at 4700 rpm along with a 6-speed manual transmission. The car has an estimated fuel economy of 28 mpg in the city, 39 mpg in the highway and 32 combined. The engine of the car also has Dual Continuously Variable Valve Timing camshafts and hydraulic engine mounts which provides optimum power, efficiency and refinement. The 2013 Hyundai Elantra GT is defined with signature hexagonal grille along with chrome accents. The exterior features include 17-inch alloy wheels along with chrome spears, fog lights, sharp projection headlamps and the body side graphic has a chrome beltline molding with sleek character lines. The car has a seating capacity for five passengers ot it can accommodate four passengers along with long items such as golf clubs or snowboards. I got to drive for the first time in my life a car powered by hydrogen. Do not think that it is a Mercedes or Honda, because surprisingly it is called Hyundai ix35 FCEV. A very serious statement of the Koreans to the future of zero emission and for immediately transport. Here are impressions I got at the wheel of a Hyundai ix35 FCEV.

Quickly passing over all details concerning about measures that will be taken to combat the cars pollution, caused primarily by the emissions of the internal combustion engines, or cars that use gasoline or diesel fuel. Even if CO2 emissions are a measurable factor that is brought out, we should mostly be aware that other emissions of fossil fuels are dangerous to our health. Therefore, the Oraan-environmentalist simply felt honored when it was appointed to be tested, being the first Korean car powered by hydrogen: Hyundai ix35 FCEV. The test drive was held in Copenhagen, considered the ecological capital of Europe, where recently held the Conference of European commission dealing with future hydrogen propulsion. As a matter of fact, I should mention that we stayed in the „green” hotel of the Europe, a hotel that has a very low CO2 emissions and the press conference was held in a location which is 90% of the energy required from renewable sources. But to return to hydrogen propulsion: why is it considered the solution for the near future? Because the emissions are lacking, from burning hydrogen resulting water vapors, harmless to the environment.

Hyundai introduces the new i30, so here are the first impressions while driving the next generation of Hyundai i30, after a test drive in Copenhagen, Denmark.

A week ago, we were announced onto the Facebook account by the promoter that they are going to attend for the first test-drive a pre-series car (not just a concept) fueled with hydrogen, the Hyundai ix35 VEGF. But the first impressions were those for a new concept:  we were amazed and suprised. For now, we are sure that you care more about how the next generation of Hyundai i30 is like – we were pleasantly surprised that the Hyundai officials provide us exclusively, such a model, equipped with a potent 1.6 CRDi diesel engine with 128 hp. From the outset, it should be noted that the jump from the current i30 is the major impression, that we are talking about a different family car. Although the new i30 is basically the hatchback version of the Hyundai Elantra sedan, so that the differentiation is clear and very successful. The car has a very dynamic profile, so that from the front, despite the many lines and curves, it gives a strong touch of aggression. The back of the car express a lot of sportsmanship, thanks to the horizontal taillights, reminiscent of Alfa Romeo. I could point with the finger only the third side window, which ends rather abruptly on the glazed side surface – this is a small impression of fluidity in contradiction with the general style of the car.

The new generation of Hyundai Azera lands with great fanfare at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2011, threatening serious competition from overseas large classes. So, journalists, fanatics and photographers came and made a lot of pictures, so here are the details of the new Hyundai Azera sedan high class.

In the U.S., Koreans have a wide group that they can use to make a better imposing car, higher the other sedan classes: Hyundai Genesis and Hyundai Equus.These models, however, are not found in the European market offer and leave a space big enough for the American Hyundai Sonata. Here at the Los Angeles Auto Show 2011, Hyundai has launched with great fanfare a new generation of Hyundai Azera, a sedan that continues the style of “fluidic sculpture” of the new models and is a giant leap from the previous Hyundai Azera, which is sold in Europe under the name of Hyundai Grandeur, but without much success. Hyundai Azera has a great success, therefore it is a gap between the Hyundai Sonata and the Hyundai Genesis, followed by the “war” between models like the Toyota Avalon, Ford Taurus, Buick LaCrosse and Nissan Maxima overseas. In November, the European version of Hyundai Azera is the Hyundai i40, which will reach to compete with high-class models like Citroen C6, Honda Legend, Lancia Thema or Skoda Superb (although Koreans are ambitious enough to attack the German trio Audi – BMW – Mercedes-Benz). The image of the modern high class sedan is pursued internally, managed by its luxury pervasive ambiance.

The 2013 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport is a two-row model that was introduced at the New York Auto Show. The vehicle is available with a direct-injection 2.4-liter engine that is capable of producing about 190 hp and 181 pound-feet of torque along with a 6-speed manual transmission and a 6-speed automatic transmission. The 2013 Hyundai i30 Wagon was first unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show as a new generation of the i30 model. The vehicle is available with both petrol and diesel engines which includes 1.4 liter diesel and 1.6 liter MPI petrol engines along with a standard 6-speed transmission and automatic transmission is available as optional. The gasoline engine is capable of reaching 0-60 mph in about 10.2 seconds along with a top speed of around 192 kph and the diesel engine accelerates from 0-60 mph in about 11.8 seconds along with an estimated top speed of 185 kph. The safety features include electronic stability control, anti-lock braking system, emergency brake assist system, vehicle stability management, hill assist control and six airbags including front airbags, side airbags, full length curtain, etc. The 2013 Hyundai i30 Wagon is available with Smart Key along with engine start/stop button, heated front seats, cruise control along with speed limiter function, 10-way powered driver’s seat adjustment and an electric parking brake. It also has fully-folding rear seat, Aux and USB support, RDS radio/CD along with MP3, multi-mode trip computer and 6 speaker audio systems. The 2013 Hyundai i30 Wagon also features three different operating modes such as Comfort, Normal and Sport. The comfort mode is used for electrical support, the normal mode will be used frequently across all road types and the sport mode will help the driver to get direct feedback from the road along with reduced electrical support.

Finally, Koreans are beginning to release the official information and some images with their athlete facelift for Hyundai Genesis Coupe and is announcing the largest claims in the domain of the sportscoupe.

Although, it is clear until now that we can not speak about a formal presentation and it is no longer appropriate to ask questions about the veracity of the images, because we speak about the first official pictures of Hyundai’s Genesis Coupe facelift emanating from the facebook account which belongs to Hyundai. Beside the initial model, the change of the look is outstanding, so that Genesis Coupe has now a brand image, not only in tune with the rest of the range, but  also one that inspires a lot of strength and individualism. Because of the “fluidic sculpture” style adopted by Veloster for example, Genesis Coupe will win clearly this competition.

The powertrain for the Hyundai Genesis Coupe is announced to be a new turbocharged four cylinder 2.0 liter engine, which has a maximum power of 279 hp and a maximum torque of 372 Nm. Compared to the previous engine, the new engine is equipped with the twin-scroll technology and is a part of the Theta family, so now comes with 66 hp and 73 Nm of torque. Hyundai Genesis Coupe also offers a V6 engine with a displacement of 3.8 liter with a direct injection, which translates into a maximum output of 355 hp (with 52 hp more than the previous V6) and a maximum torque of 400 Nm (beside 361 Nm from the previous model). The V6 will be coupled to an automatic gearbox with 8 reports, while the standard model comes up with a 6 speed manual gearbox.

The Korean SUV is preparing for the change of generations and the first renderings of the car are presented by Hyundai itself.

The current generation of the Hyundai Santa Fe is the oldest car in the range of the Koreans, which thereby has potentially affected the car sales. The Asians, however, did not sit idly by and took advantage at the New York Auto Show to present the first official renderings of the SUV.
Hyundai Santa Fe is designed according to the company’s new design language, called suggestively Storm Edge. This is an evolution of the current topics and graphics used by Hyundai for today’s cars, Fluid Sculpture. The first picture shows us the new model both from the front and the side, but it has got a complete new mystery in the rear.

However, we can see that the car lines are a blend with the current forms of the fluid models and took angular reasons. The lights are using DRL technology, (Daylight Running Lights), LED technology and the high hood and bumper ensemble creates a tremendous mass, typical for a SUV. The new trapezoidal grille brings a new image for the car. Remember the current ix35 side and the chrome lines of the windows separated from the “shoulder” above the rear wheels, all of them are ending with a flaring. The taillights are extended to the rear wing and the twin five-spoke wheels are giving a sporty aspect. Hyundai Santa Fe will benefit from the Blue Link system that lets you connect to all devices in the smartphone category.
